Illustrationcupboard is delighted to celebrate the work of John Mortimer, the well-missed City barrister and writer best-known for his much-loved literary legal creation Rumpole of the Bailey.

Immortalised on television by the actor Leo McKern the accompanying series of books has been a best-seller for decades. In this unique exhibition Mortimer's illustrator Tony Healey presents all the original watercolour artwork for this classic legal creation.

A renowned political and current affairs caricaturist Tony Healey has worked extensively for the The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and the BBC, and produced original artwork for the entire Rumpole series. These watercolours will now be exhibited for sale for the very first time, and offer the collector an unprecedented opportunity to acquire high-profile artwork of distinction with true investment value.

Illustrationcupboard is a unique central London art gallery exhibiting original artwork by modern and contemporary book illustrators and film maker's from around the world. With exhibition space on three floors, this central London gallery displays a constant and revolving programme throughout the year of single artists shows, guest exhibitions from around the world, specialist events, author signings and family afternoons.
