The Illustration Cupboard is pleased to usher in the spring season with a ground-breaking exhibition of original artwork by John Vernon Lord. As one of the great names of the modern era John has been of profound influence across the entire field of book illustration.
We are delighted to celebrate his fifty years of artistic output with this exhibition of the much-loved class tale of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. John’s original artwork has not been made available for purchase before and as such this event provides collectors with a unique opportunity to acquire artwork by a truly modern master.
This new edition is sumptuously published by Inky Parrot Press, and signed and numbered copies will be available at the gallery at £68 (edition of 280 copies). There is also a special slip case edition for £260 on request (edition of 68 copies).
Please note that a continuing display of our 2009 catalogue of contemporary book illustration artwork will be featured on the first floor gallery along with our other signed and first edition books which are available for purchase.
