11 June - 2 July 2014
We are delighted to commence our annual Summer Exhibition on Wednesday 11th of June (5.30pm onwards) with a focus on the talented Alexis Deacon. Alexis’s work displays virtuosity in both content and technique with a rare ability to address both lighter and darker sides of human nature. This talent was recently acknowledged by his inclusion in the Victoria and Albert Museum exhibition Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace. We are pleased to host a book launch for Alexis's illustrations for the newly published version of Russell Hoban's classic tale Jim’s Lion. Original artwork will be available to purchase and Alexis will be in attendance on Wednesday 11th of June to sign copies of the book, (£9.99).Read more
